Thigh High

Hey lovelies!

Say hello to my new favourite boots - these thigh high suede beauties. Aaaaaaah. I love how these have come back around again. I have wanted a pair like this for ages now, but I knew I didn't want a pair of flat or ridiculously high stiletto style ones. It's tricky to find a pair that aren't too daunting for day time wear - I feel some people can get away with wandering around the shops on a Saturday afternoon wearing leather thigh high boots with massive sky scraper heels, but i'm not one of them. The heel on these is the perfect height for day wear and the chunky sole makes it that much more casual. They are exactly what I was looking for and the £50 price tag for a pair like this wasn't bad either!
This is a really casual super easy way of wearing them for an everyday, chuck on and go look. I also love styling them with shorter skirts and polonecks or jumper dresses to create a 60s feel to the whole outfit. I find these boots so super cosy because there isn't any space for the air to reach the feet and so my toes are kept snug all day long! Pretty ideal for someone with really bad circulation. Granny.

In these snaps I paired the boots with my wax look high waisted jeans I got from H&M. Glamour are currently doing 20% off everything at H&M and so I ended up getting these for a bargain price of £16! They are EXACTLY the same as the Topshop ones going for £45 except perhaps slightly more high waisted, which I prefer. For the rest of my outfit i'm wearing my grey Zara poloneck - something I would like to get in every size - and my shearling jacket. I also like to wear my fluffy black coat with this or my brown camel coat, but I just so happened to be wearing this that day. It's a super quick pulled together outfit but I think it still manages to look chic and on trend.

I actually wore this last weekend, but I ended up giving myself food poisoning on Tuesday and have never felt so horrendous. It took me a good few days to properly recover, but i'm finally back to normal again! I feel like the whole of last week was a complete haze. This blog post has been pretty much ready to go live for the last week but thought of concentrating on anything other than sleeping or being sick was too much. TMI? Ahh we're all friends here!
I celebrated feeling human again this weekend by going back to my house in the country with a few of my uni friends. We visited the amazing German christmas markets in Birmingham which I always love and where I always fill my stomach with hot pimms, went on winter walks and had an early christmas dinner, finished off with a prosecco, chocolates and home made mince pies. Christmas is the blaady bees knees!
What do you guys think of the over the knee boot trend?
