Retro

Hello lovelies,

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I am absolutely loving these over the knee suede boots I got from ASOS late last year. When i'm not wearing either of my Adidas Superstars, i'll mostly be seen wearing these. I love the 60s/70s feel of a look when boots like this are paired with a short skirt or dress. I'm currently obsessed with the suede and corduroy mini skirts that have been about the last few months. They add the perfect retro feel to an outfit and I think i'll be investing in another one (or two) in the near future ready for spring!
I was eyeing up the maroon one on ASOS, but I felt £65 just was not in my price range - and so this is where the story of how I acquired this skirt comes about. Last month I went to visit one of my friends in Essex to stay in her new house she's just bought (yeah - she's bought an actual whole house with her boyfriend - don't. I can barely afford Nutella) as she's a proper qualified grown up now. Her and her boyfriend have already accepted that I am to be their resident Joey from friends and that they need to hurry up with that loft extension for me.

So whilst in Essex I decided I wanted my own personal TOWIE tour. Now, I must stress that this was all in good humour and i'm not a major fan who would faint at the sight of GC (I can say this with certainty now as I did go into her shop and she was there. Haa). Although the show definitely is a major guilty pleasure for me. So I forced my dear friend to take me to every shop and snap pics outside to embarrass her. She hated me by the end i'm sure. Actually think her exact words were 'you are the most embarrassing person in the world, i'm not walking with you during this' (whilst taking snap of Sugarhut).
However, whilst in Minnies I surprised myself by spotting something I really liked - this skirt. I tried it on in the leopard print changing room and ahhhh it was love and half the price of the ASOS ones! The brand is Mink Pink and I know that ASOS and Urban Outfitters sell that brand so worth checking it out.

I love the burnt orange colour; It adds a real pop to every outfit and is the perfect seventies shade. To keep the retro vibe going I paired it with my black poloneck, over the knee boots and faux fur stole. For my coat, I am back to being best friends with my duster again. It had to go away for a while during the winter as it is very light material, but now the temperature has risen it will be getting a lot more outings again.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
